What exactly is personal training?

Personal Training with Strength For You follows my proven 5 step system guaranteed to achieve maximum results in minimum time.

  1. We take the time to get really clear about your goals and decide on a specific date as to when we will achieve them.
  2. We will then do a health evaluation to get some baseline data to measure your progress against.
  3. Design a tailored exercise plan for you in order to safely achieve maximum results in minimum time.
  4. Conduct a nutrition audit and then give recommendations in line with your goals.
  5. Coaching and accountability – I will follow you up between exercise sessions, educate you, and provide all the support you need to make your goals a reality.

Who does personal training?

Strength For You offer services to suite everyone. From first time gym users to athletes, mums to retirees, sessions are individually tailored to get you results. See how Rikki’s programs have worked for her clients.

Do I need to get fit before I start? I have heard that personal training is hard.

Beginning with a health and lifestyle analysis, we ensure that your program and training is appropriate and specifically tailored for you. Your exercise and medical history is major factor in ensuring that your training is safe and effective: gone are the days of “no pain – no gain”.

Does Strength For You only work with clients who want to gain strength?

Not at all! Strength For You offers programs to help clients with their individual goals, whether that be increased fitness, weight loss, injury rehabilitation and post-natal training.

Am I too old to start training?

You are never too old. In fact older adults may have the most to gain through training! Maintaining muscle mass, bone density and functional strength are key factors in maintaining a healthy weight, reducing the risk of osteoporosis and most importantly staying active and independent.

Doesn’t weight training make you look bulky?

Many women worry that they are going to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger once they start lifting weights. The fact is that women don’t have the testosterone levels to support such muscle gain. In fact through smart strength training and sound nutrition habits women will decrease body fat and girth measurements to develop a toned athletic physique.

How quickly will I see results?

Realistic goal setting and consistent training, along with following Rikki’s recovery and nutrition advice, will set you on the path to achieving your results. However, how quickly you achieve them is up to you! See how Rikki’s programs have worked for her clients.

How much does it cost?
